Foot surgery
On a weekly basis, not only do we perform preservative treatments using arch supports and/or orthopaedic shoes, but we also rely on surgical treatments to cure frequent foot and toe problems: some noteworthy examples of interventions are the correction of bunions and of hallux rigidus (deviation or stiffening of the big toe), rebalancing of the forefoot, treatment procedures of cartilaginous lesions of the ankle with cartilaginous cell or bone dowel transplantation, axis corrections, arthrodesis of the ankle and ankle prosthesis.
The diabetic foot is not only an area of interest for the foot surgeon, but also for the surgeon specialising in vascular conditions and the diabetologist, as well as for the orthotist and the podiatrist.
