The end-of-life consultation is intended for anyone, whether or not they are ill, who wishes to discuss end-of-life issues.
The aim is to provide a clear view of the possibilities offered in Belgium for arranging the end of life: palliative care in hospital or at home, the advance declaration of health care and end of life, the advance declaration of euthanasia, of non-aggression, of refusal of care, the necessary legal formalities for a request for euthanasia, sedation, possible accompaniment, etc.
Whether it is a question of obtaining information, help or expressing one's wishes, this space allows the patient to speak in complete freedom and to benefit from informed answers.
It is intended for Belgian residents only.
It is not a consultation related to treating symptoms such as pain.
The consultation is provided by Dr. Kristl Dobbelaere at the St-Elisabeth site and by Dr. Claudia Haba at the St-Michel site, two Tuesday afternoons per month, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
