Going to a consultation

HOW TO GET TO THE HOSPITAL?

The Europe Hospitals consist of:

Make sure that you are going to the site of your appointment, and click on the name of the site to obtain further information on how to access our facilities, on foot, by bicycle, bus, tram, metro, train or car.

WHAT DOCUMENT(S) SHOULD I BRING?

  • Your identity document (1):
    • a Belgian identity card
    • or your special EU badge for employees of EU institutions
    • or the ISI+ card
    • or an international passport (2)
    • birth certificate for newborns
  • For certain consultations, a written document from your attending physician and/or a list of your medicines
  • For a medical examination, you must bring a prescription from your attending physician

(1)    Your safety is our highest priority. Medical treatment is a serious and highly personal matter. This is why it is important to properly identify yourself. A national registration number and an expired SIS card are not valid proofs of identity. If you are not able to present one of the above-mentioned identity documents, we will not be able to ensure a correct identification. We will not be able to register you and your consultation will have to be cancelled.
(2)    With a foreign passport, it is not possible to read your national registration number. In this case, as we are unable to verify your insurability, we have to charge the full price of the consultation.

ONCE I ARRIVE AT THE HOSPITAL, WHERE SHOULD I GO FOR MY CONSULTATION/EXAMINATION?

We encourage you to come to the hospital in advance for your consultation. You might have to register beforehand, and the waiting time can be a bit long. For the laboratory, radiology and nuclear medicine, you are not required to register beforehand and you can go there directly and register on site. For the Bella Vita Medical Centre, you should arrive 15 minutes before your consultation.
