About the psychiatry department

Psychiatry is the branch of medicine that specialises in mental disorders. The Europe Hospitals psychiatry ward caters to patients with neuropsychiatric conditions by providing them with inpatient and outpatient.

The ward works collaboratively with psychiatric, hospitals or non-hospitals institutions located in the Brussels region, primarily in the south of Brussels.

Consultation activities are conducted at the St-Elisabeth (Uccle), and St-Michel (Etterbeek) sites, at the polyclinic in Halle and at the Bella Vita Medical Center (Waterloo).

They are intended to provide a place where patients with neuropsychiatric conditions may be assessed and treated. They also facilitate initial contact, assessment of the situation and establishment of a treatment plan with a patient whose hospitalisation is required.

They are managed by the ward's psychiatrists and psychologists.
