WHO WILL BE CARING FOR MY BABY?

We are a multidisciplinary team comprising:

  • Paediatricians:
    • On the St-Elisabeth site:
      • Dr F. Motte (chef de département)
      • Dr A. D’Arpa
      • Dr B. Dima
      • Dr C. Dunga
      • Dr A. Sauvage
      • Dr T. Slaouti
      • Dr B. Verbruggen
      • And their assistants
    • On the St-Michel site:
      • Dr V. Schellekens
      • Dr A. De Wandeleer
      • Dr M. Dagnelie
      • Dr M-P. Soumoy
      • Dr E. Giovinazzio

The paediatricians are present in the unit every morning from 8.00am and then in the hospital (except on weekends and public holidays when they are present in the morning and then on call depending on the needs). The on-call paediatrician is responsible for coordinating the care provided and evaluates the difficulties and progress of your baby at least once a day with the nurses, midwives and assistants. He is your primary contact to answer your questions when he does his rounds in the neonatal unit. It is also possible to schedule an appointment for a more in-depth review with a member of the team.

  • Paediatric nurses and midwives provide continuous care for your child.

The nurses' and midwives' working hours are divided up into 3 periods: 7.00am–3.00pm; 1.30pm–9.00pm and 8.45pm–7.15am. During these shifts, a nurse or midwife will be in charge of the neonatal ward.

You can contact us at any time of the day or night:
