Dr Mathias Colman, shoulder surgeon in our Orthopaedics department, linked his participation in the 8-hour and 25-hour Fun Cup in Spa with the Orhes Racing team to a good cause: he pledged to donate 0.50€ per kilometre travelled by the car to the Friends of the Europa Hospitals Fund. A total of 3,196 kilometres were covered, which amounts to a donation of 1 568€.
There are currently more than 13,000 people living with a stoma in Belgium. This makes the role of stoma therapists more important than ever. At Europa Hospitals, the Stoma Therapy department is a real pillar of support, combining medical expertise, a listening ear and personal guidance for patients with a stoma.

From July 6 to 9, 2025, Dr. Pascal CASTUS, Head of the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at Europe Hospitals, took part as a dissection tutor in the prestigious Mendelson Advanced Facial Anatomy Course (MAFAC), held at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA.
