Previsit: A New AI Tool in Cardiology
As part of an innovation-driven approach focused on improving the quality of care, the Europe Hospitals have launched a pilot project for AI-assisted pre-anamnesis within the Cardiology Department.
Before their consultation, selected patients may now receive a secure link by SMS inviting them to complete a pre-anamnesis questionnaire, in other words an online medical interview. This interview is conducted by a digital assistant designed to be clear, respectful and empathetic. It collects important information such as symptoms, ongoing treatments, allergies and medical history.
The information provided is then summarized in a structured manner and directly integrated into the medical record, helping physicians better prepare for the consultation. This approach allows patients to arrive better prepared and enables healthcare professionals to devote more time to discussion, clinical reasoning and therapeutic decision-making.
This tool, developed by a cardiologist at the Europe Hospitals, Dr Michal Nedoszytko, and already used in several European countries, fully complies with the GDPR and meets the highest standards for the protection of health data. It in no way replaces the medical consultation, but rather complements it.
This pilot project reflects the hospital’s commitment to offering innovative, patient-centred solutions while supporting the work of healthcare teams.
(1) The term “anamnesis” refers, in medicine and psychology, to all the information collected from a patient during an interview in order to understand their health status.
