The Europe Hospitals welcome Dr Victorine de Meeûs, Geriatrics

The Europe Hospitals welcome Dr Victorine de Meeûs, who recently joined the Geriatrics department.

After beginning her medical studies in 2006, Dr de Meeûs graduated in 2013. She began her career in general medicine before moving on to internal medicine and geriatrics, which she completed in 2021.

She then continued her career with the geriatrics team at the CNDG in Gosselies, where she practised for three years.

In 2024, Dr de Meeûs and her family moved to Cape Town. There, she joined the geriatrics department at Groote Schuur Hospital, the University Hospital of Cape Town. This immersion offered her a unique human and professional experience, marked by a different reality in the field and a complementary approach to the care of elderly patients.

Returning to Belgium in June 2025, Dr de Meeûs joined the geriatric team at the Europe Hospitals in July.

In parallel with her clinical work, she has been pursuing training in nutrition at CERDEN since 2023, convinced of the essential role of diet in the overall health of patients.
