Dr. Marc Léonard appointed head of the geriatrics department at Europa Hospitals

Dr. Marc Léonard graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven in 1999 and has twenty years of experience in geriatrics at Europa Hospitals. His career demonstrates a strong commitment to elderly patients and in-depth expertise in the many aspects of their care.

Dr. Léonard attaches great importance to putting together a dedicated, dynamic, and innovative team with diverse and extensive specializations, such as the treatment of psycho-emotional, cognitive, and social problems, functional and environmental optimization, nutritional optimization, rationalization of medication, etc.

Central to his approach is helping to draw up a therapeutic care plan that is in line with the patient's values and preferences, with the main aim of optimizing the quality of life of our seniors.

The Europa Hospitals would also like to express their deep gratitude to his predecessor, Dr. Alain Fournier, who has led the department with dedication and professionalism over the past few years. Thanks to his efforts, a solid foundation has been laid on which Dr. Léonard and his team can build to further tailor geriatrics to geriatric patients.
