Conference: Protecting women's hearts

Conference: Protecting women's hearts

Cardiovascular disease is often seen as a male disease. Yet in Belgium, 31% of women's deaths are due to cardiovascular disease.

On Thursday 14 March, the Europe Hospitals welcomed the non-profit organisation "Femmes Leaders Mondiales Belgique", in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Lea of Belgium, for a conference entitled "Protecting women's hearts". It was presented by Dr Bernard Deruyter, Head of Cardiology at the Europe Hospitals, with a contribution from Dr Asefeh Defaee, cardiologist at the Europe Hospitals.

Thanks to Colette Fuchs Lejeune, President of the Belgian non-profit organisation Femmes Leaders Mondiales, for organising the event.
