Week of the Heart 2019

As part of the Week of the Heart, the Cardiology Department of the Europe Hospitals organizes a screening.

This will take place in the lobby of the St-Elisabeth site on Wednesday 25/09 from 10am to 12pm.

Cardiovascular diseases are responsible for thousands of deaths per year in Belgium.

In 2019, the Cardiological League is tackling sugar, which is omnipresent and excessive in our food.

The message to remember is that eating too much sugar can lead to type II diabetes, and that type II diabetes very often leads to a stroke in the heart or brain.

This year, we are attacking 3 enemies:

• The sugar
• The overweight
• Sedentary life.
