BRA Day, yoga for recovery in the wake of breast cancer
The plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery unit of the Europe Hospitals is holding its 6th conference to mark “BRA Day” (Breast Reconstruction Awareness – Day), the world day dedicated to information and raising awareness for women considering breast reconstruction following partial or total mastectomy, on Wednesday the 16th of October, 2019, at 7.30pm at the St-Elisabeth site.
For the event, plastic surgeons will remind participants of their role and the importance of integrating breast reconstruction in a holistic reconstruction process (medical, physical and mental), within the multidisciplinary team of the breast clinic.
This year, yoga and meditation will feature at the heart of the evening’s programme. These disciplines have a positive influence on health and mental well-being. They create bonds of solidarity through positive practices and experiences shared within the group, in a relaxed and kind atmosphere.
A highlight of this wonderful evening is the presence and speech delivered by Her Excellency, Madam Gaitri Kumar, Ambassador for India to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union.
Patients, relatives, friends, staff members and doctors are cordially invited to attend.
