At the Europe Hospitals, patients can have a video consultation with specialists.
Boosted by our credo: «Yes we Care», it is extremely important for our institution, the Europe Hospitals, to always give the best healthcare service to our patients and insure continuity of access to our doctors. This is especially true during this Covid-19 crisis.
The launch of the video consultation is a milestone in the continuous development of our service offering. The seamless integration to the existing processes of the hospital is relevant to insure efficient access to healthcare for our patients.
‘During these days of strict confinement, video consultations can really save lives. Our specialists from the Europe Hospitals as well as our general practitioners from the Bella Vita Medical Center are available and there for their patients, both online and offline. This new tool does help us insure the continuity of the medical treatments.‘ says Peter Fontaine, General Manager and Managing Director of the Europe Hospitals.
The patient can book an appointment with over 300 specialist doctors from 30 different specialties at the Europe Hospitals and be diagnosed without leaving his home. To book a video consultation, the patient simply calls the relevant hospital department, agrees an appointment date and does communicate his e-mail address.
A confirmation e-mail is sent to the patient with a link for the video consultation. At the agreed time and only then, the patient will be able to use this link to enter a secure communication channel where his doctor will be available.
The Europe Hospitals have set-up a dedicated page to give easy access to all doctors offering video consultation: click here.
‘Our teams worked hard to deliver video consultation to the Europe Hospitals within a short timeframe. Making things happen in these times where solidarity is upmost needed kept us focused here.’ says Patrick Kersten, CEO of Doctena.
Since launching the video consultation at the end of March, over 5.000 patients have seen a doctor per video via the Doctena platform. This type of consultation does offer the highest level of protection against potential infections both for the patient and the doctor.
